How your records are kept

This page says plainly what the Storehouse gathers, who can see it, and what you can do with your own records. You are welcome to read it before you decide to join.

What is gathered

  • Your name, email, and the details you set down when you join.
  • What you choose to set down here — listings, requests, offers, messages, ratings, and trade records.
  • The congregation you choose, if you choose one.
  • A short history of sign-ins on your account, kept so you can see it yourself. Where a request came from is kept only as a fingerprint, never as an address.

What is never done with it

  • Your records are never sold, and never handed to advertisers.
  • No advertising trackers are carried here.
  • Nothing you receive as a gift is recorded against you, and nothing given quietly is displayed.
  • Declining an offer, an invitation, or a request leaves no mark the other party can see.

Who can see what

  • Your listings and offers are visible to other members, as the trade requires.
  • A circumstance you name when you enroll in the Corner is seen by stewards alone, and lapses after twelve months unless you renew it.
  • A private need you set down is visible only as you choose.
  • Verification records and identity documents are handled for verification alone and are not shown to other members.

Your records are yours to carry

At any time you may gather everything you have set down here into files you keep. You may also ask a steward to close your account; while the request waits with a steward you may withdraw it, and what must be kept for the record of completed trades is kept no longer than it is needed. Members do both under their settings, at Your records and your account.

The assistant

The assistant can help you draft a listing or answer questions about how things work. It is entirely optional: a switch in your settings turns it off, and nothing is drafted or answered for you while it is off. It never sees Corner enrollment, verification records, or identity documents, and it never sends anything to another member without your review.
